Here’s six of my favourite graphic design trends forecast for 2025.
If you’re thinking of refreshing your brand in 2025 these concepts are worth considering, all easy to apply, eye catching and fun. Unique touches to help you stand out from the crowd and better define your brand personality.
But whether you plan to use them or just enjoying watching the visual landscape evolve, it feels like a bit more fun, interest and bravery is returning to graphic design with minimalism finally taking a back seat!
Bold and Neon Colours
Have you noticed brands have gotten really… bright lately? Electric blue, neon greens, vibrant purples and fluorescent yellows! Not for everyone but definitely eye catching! These RGB style colours are hard to achieve in real life, nothing makes them pop quite like the glow of a screen. And aren’t we all pretty much attached to screens nowadays! Definitely the colours of the future!
Fonts to the front
Bringing a bit of playfulness back to Design. In a world where logos are slowing losing their quirks and originality, the use of expressive fonts sparks joy in me. Brands are moving away from the monotony of sans-serif, designers are exploring fonts that add vibrancy and personality to their creations. These fonts are more than just typefaces; they’re storytelling tools that infuse designs with energy and character.
3D Design Elements
Inflated imagery and bubble text is bigger than ever! Interactive 3D content and 3D model animations are expected to grow in use throughout web and graphic design. Everything from info graphics to branding, this tactile style is fun and youthful and harnessing the best tools in design in 2025!
Quirky & Nostalgic Illustrations
Custom retro illustrations are a growing popular design trend, as they can help create unique experiences and build on brand identity like nothing else. Hand-drawn or low-tech, think use as mascots, motion graphics, patterns and more!
Maximalism
Maximalism enjoys a strong diversity of colours, patterns, illustration, typography and imagery. It’s vibrant, it’s busy, it’s playful and punchy. Not for the faint of heart. It pits itself against the mantra of minimalism: ‘less is more’. It’s ‘more is more’.
Ai in Final Output
The evolution of AI may not be a graphic design trend itself, but it’s shaping the industry in a big way. Creatives are becoming less intimidated by AI and more experimental with it. With AI functions now standard in various Adobe software it’s already part of our process but also beginning to move beyond ideation and into final output with some startling artwork being created by users who have logged the hours learning how to use it.
